Share a bridge selfie and you could win dinner for two

The Institution of Civil Engineers is asking members of the public to share photos of themselves with their favourite bridges in support of a major new exhibition, and the Rochester Bridge Trust is encouraging its own fans to get involved.

People are asked to take to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook to post their best #BridgeSelfie before Wednesday, 12th October, and if your picture is posted on Twitter and shows you by one of Rochester’s bridges you could be in with a chance of winning a £100 voucher for a meal for two at Topes.

The best of the bridge selfies will be displayed in an ICE exhibition at their head office in One Great George Street, London. The exhibition opens on Monday, 17th October. Winners of the Topes voucher will be selected from among photographs posted of Rochester Bridge, with the prize presented by the Trust.

How to enter

On Twitter, post a selfie of yourself with either the Old Bridge or the New Bridge at Rochester.

Include @RochesterBridge, @ICE_Engineers and #BridgeSelfie in the text of the tweet. If you’d like to include a message in the remaining text, that’s fine too.

If you are not on Twitter you can still enter the competition. Simply email your photo, name and caption to erica@maxim-pr.co.uk before Thursday, 13th October, and the Trust will post the photo on your behalf.

Please note, only photographs of you and one or more of the bridges at Rochester in Kent will be eligible. For full terms and conditions click here.

Alternatively, take part in the ICE selfie event just for fun when you post on Facebook or Instagram.

On Facebook include @TheRochesterBridgeTrust, @institutionofcivilengineers and #BridgeSelfie in the caption and, depending on the security settings on your account, we may be able to share these pictures with our followers.

On Instagram, include #RochesterBridge, @ICE_Engineers and #BridgeSelfie in the caption. As the Trust is not on Instagram, we will not be notified of these posts.

This competition has now closed. Click here to find out who won.
